This would have pissed me off a few years ago, but as we are in a drought, I’m pretty jazzed. The best part is, it’s exactly the sort of rain we need. The light, steady, soaking kind that softens up the ground, without washing away all the topsoil, and it’s the follow-up rain to what we got about ten days ago, so the local farmers might actually keep their crops alive. It started sometime between seven and eight last night, and it has been continuing steadily ever since, which makes about seventeen hours now. I don’t have a rain gauge, so I can’t tell you how much it actually is, but it’ll be a decent amount.
Go you good thing!
