To Whom It May Concern;

23 Nov

Dear Weather Delivery Idiot,

Last night, you left this at my house:

house

I didn’t order it, I don’t want it, and I would greatly appreciate it if you would come and take it away. I live in the Southern Hemisphere, and snow is totally inappropriate one freaking week ahead of summer! Let us not even discuss how much more fun it is to lug heavy boxes from one house to another when your fingers are numb and icy-cold gale-force winds are forcing rain, sleet, hail and snow right through every stitch of clothing you are wearing.

Regards,

Kate

P.S. Before you get any ideas, I am categorically not dreaming of a white Christmas.

    Ooh, my condolences. It’s wicked cold here this weekend, below freezing, but at least it’s seasonal. (Sort of. It’s still colder than is typical.)

    I went to college in the mountains of Arizona, 7000 feet above sea level. It would manage to snow the week we moved out for summer term break EVERY year!

    (2144 meters above sea level for you crazy metric folks.)

    Your new house looks cool!

    […] how much circumstances affect attitude. This snow is very nearly as unseasonal as the fall we had almost two years ago, but whereas that time it pissed me off to no end, today I’m finding it absolutely charming. […]
