Thoughtful, no?

14 Feb

We don’t generally make a big deal of Valentine’s Day. Not because of any peronal gripe about the commercialisation of the day, or anything, but because we have a lot of family birthdays at this time of year, as well as our anniversary coming up in a few weeks time.

But this year, my lovely Tech Support bought me one of these:

on the principal that if I’m ever going to snap and murder him, it’s important to have right tools for the job.

When one of his co-workers ventured the opinion that a knife wasn’t a terribly romantic gift, he replied “What? You can cut out a heart with one!”

I got knives – two! – for my fortieth birthday. I’m going to tell him the romance line. He’ll certainly appreciate it.

Happy Valentine’s Day!! I’m not hoping for anything as romantic as knives–just chocolate. 🙂
