Pray for me….

9 Apr
  • Today is the last day of term.
  • Tomorrow is Good Friday, and the unofficial start of the school holidays.
  • They don’t go back until the 29th.
  • That is almost three entire weeks of me being at home with the boys 24/7.
  • Last night, when I sent them to get ready for bed, they started fighting, and Boyo threw Sasquatch’s glasses across the room.
  • I shouted myself hoarse.
  • Tuesday, the neighbours are having their ASBESTOS roof replaced.
  • This is being done by specialists and will take approximately three days.
  • We have been advised to either be elsewhere between 7.00am and 4.00pm, or stay inside with doors and windows firmly shut.
  • The chances of the boys being ready to leave the house before 7 are somewhat less than Buckley’s, so that will mean being actually shut up indoors with them all day for those three days.
  • Nothing good can come of this.

On a completely unrelated note, I’d like to thank everybody who commented on the previous post, whether with messages of support, solidarity or advice. This whole weight-loss thing does not come easily to me, especially the food-restraint part, so I really appreciate the support.

Seriously, go somewhere the night before and stay there….will someone let you stay for three days? I’d head to my mum’s!!! Poor you. Or you could tell them you are going out for breakfast in their pj’s all they need then is their shoes!! Just have to remember to pack them a change of clothes for later! Mind you three mornings of breakfast out is probably a bit too much…. Love the frog by the way he is simply gorgeous! Good luck with the boys for the next few weeks, maybe running around after them will help shift a kilo or two???

I see your school holidays and raise you a traveling husband. He is gone 11 days out of the next 21, on two different trips. I am Pissy with a capital P. Also certain I am completely not up to the task.

But the three days inside? That’s vile.

    Go camping

    NOW

    Why are you still here?

    Go!

Even better – send dad and the kids camping and you go – somewhere nice – like a knitting spa!

Oh Dera Ill be thinking of you!!!I on the other hand have to work though Im taking secretly a couple of days off to sort out house and yard, its just beyond a joke! My main problem is convincing the austistic son and suddenly Mr Independant Son (who has a noctious friend whos allowed to run all over town) that they have stay home till 2 when I arrive home, the older two will probably kill them and svae me the job!!!
    Ill be thinking of you!!
Can you mix up the days, go someplace on the second day for example? I always found it easier to stay home at least you have everything at your fingertips and it wont cost!!
Good Luck!! And keep the doors etc firmly shut, asbestos is not something to play around with!
