very loud swearing

13 Jul

So I cleared off the dining room table, laid everything out to start seaming up the Fireside cardi, and unfolded the pieces.

Guess what?

See that? DO YOU SEE THAT???!!! The rackin’frackin’ back is half-a-pattern repeat shorter than the sassafrassin’ front. Twelve entire #$%^&* rows. This is not a fudge-able stuff-up. This means that the back has to be ripped back to the armpit (or perhaps further – it all depends on where exactly the cock-up occurred) and re-knit to match.

No Fireside debut at Bendi, kids.

Imagine all the swear-words you ever heard. Now cube that number. Now shout it from a mountain top. I still think I said worse than that.

    Oh dear – I understand

Can I sell you 2 small and extraordinarily annoying children?

    4 sleeps to go – 4 sleeps – 4 – count ’em – 4!

Oh crap. That just sucks big time. I’m going to say it because it does bear checking…..have you counted the rows on each piece from the bottom up…all of them? Because sometimes on big items there is a tension hiccup. Of course this is me just trying to save you from having to frog and reknit. In other news my red vest will be at Bendi as I just spent this morning’s SnB sewing in the ends. Wishing you lots of good cardi karma. See you Friday.
