The Vital Statistics:
- Pattern: None. Plain stocking-stitch roll-brim hat out of my own brain. For the sepal, I looked up a pic of an eggplant online, and winged it, occasionally going back to the picture for inspiration.
- Yarn: Hat – EGMTK! sock , dark purple semi-solid. Sepal – Yarncakes merino 4ply, ‘Sir Walter’ colourway.
- Needles: 3mm Knitpicks Harmony fixed circ for the hat, 2.5mm Knitpicks nickel fixed circ for the sepals.
- Thoughts: Love knitting baby clothes in general (it’s the instant-gratification thing), and this little hat in particular. The colours are scrumptious, and the yarn is dreamily soft. Happy happy joy joy.
But now the burning question is, whatever shall I do with the leftovers?
That’s 96g and 95g of sock yarn in two of my very favouritest colours. I guess I’ll just have to knit some socks with ’em.
Heh heh heh.
