Cabernet Socks

17 Oct

The Vital Statistics:
Cast On: July 25th, 2010
Finished: September 10th, 2010
Pattern: Math Whiz sock by Anne Hanson
Yarn: Ms Gusset Sock Yarn, bought at Bendigo 2010
Needles: 2.75mm circulars (magic loop), changed to 2.5mm for foot
Modifications: Eye of Partridge heel, which is my default setting for hand-paints and varigated yarns. It’s just prettier that way.

These have been done for a while, it was just a matter of getting my act together to actually write the FO post. They’re a gift for a friend who asked me to teach her to knit socks, but has been too ill for the last couple of months. So I thought I’d knit her a pair to tide her over until she felt well enough to go on with the original plan.

Besides, as we all know, once you’ve worn a pair of hand-knit socks, you’ll never willingly go back to store-bought. Heh heh heh. All part of my cunning plan…

And once she has learnt how to knit them she’ll be sucked into sock knitting.

    You’re such a lovely friend.
