The Vital Statistics:
Cast On: June 11, 2012
Finished: July 20, 2012
Pattern: Foxhollow, by Amy Swenson
Yarn: The Knittery 10ply Aran: Posmerino, hand dyed by me, colour “Blackberry Jam”.
Needles: 7mm Knitpicks Options circular
Modifications: Added about 20cm to the length, because I wanted to.

It’s my new favourite thing ever! So soft and warm and cuddly that it’s like wearing your dressing gown out in public. I finished it at Bendigo, so it took just about six weeks to knit, start to finish.

Oh it is beautiful and looks lovely and cuddly and swooshy too. Well done to knit it so fast and I am looking at it with longing, I loved Daphne’s wool and her dyeing. I still have some sock wool!!

I really can’t take credit for the speed – it’s one of those magic patterns that practically knits itself – take 10ply (Aran-weight) wool and 7mm needles (no U.S. equivalent; a shade bigger than 10 1/2, not quite as big as 11), stir for an hour or so every night, and abracadabra, you have an awesome cardi!
